Guerpont is a French commune with 249 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). The municipality is part of the Bar-le-Duc arrondissement , the Ancerville canton (until 2016: Ligny-en-Barrois canton ) and the Bar-le-Duc Sud Meuse community association founded in 2016 .

The municipality is crossed by the Ornain and the Rhine-Marne Canal . Guerpont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tronville-en-Barrois in the east, Nant-le-Grand in the south, Tannois in the southwest and west, Silmont in the northwest and the municipality of Culey in the canton of Vaucouleurs in the north.
