Maulan is a French commune with 117 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). The municipality is part of the Bar-le-Duc arrondissement , the canton of Ancerville and the Portes de Meuse municipal association founded in 2016 .

Maulan is about 14 kilometers south-southeast of Bar-le-Duc . Maulan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Nant-le-Grand in the north and west, Ligny-en-Barrois in the east, Fouchères-aux-Bois in the south and Nant-le-Petit in the southwest

The National Route 4 runs through the municipality .
