Ippécourt is a French commune with 97 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Bar-le-Duc and to the community association L'Aire à l'Argonne, founded in 2016 .

geography

Ippécourt is located in the Barrois landscape southeast of the Argonne on the Cousances , about 22 kilometers southwest of Verdun . Ippécourt is surrounded by the neighboring communities Julvécourt and Les Souhesmes-Rampont in the north, Vadelaincourt in the northeast, Osches in the east, Saint-André-en-Barrois in the southeast, Rambluzin-et-Benoite-Vaux in the south and southeast, Heippes in the south, and Saint -André-en-Barrois in the south-west, Nubécourt in the south-west, Autrécourt-sur-Aire in the west and Lavoye in the north-west.

Economy and Infrastructure

Ippécourt has a rural character. Six farms are located in the municipality (cereal cultivation, poultry farming).

Ippécourt is a local road traffic hub. Here, seven departmental streets meet in a star shape. In Souhesme-la-Grande , ten kilometers away, there is a connection to the A4 Autoroute (Paris-Strasbourg); the nearest train station is in the city of Verdun .
