Eric Briffard

Éric Briffard (born November 30, 1961 in Auxerre ) is French chef . Until the end of 2014 he managed the restaurant Le Cinq des Hôtel Georges V in Paris .

life and work

After training in the Relais Saint Fiacre in Appoigny and Japanese Palazzo Royal Park Hotel it is from 1990 second chef at the restaurant Jamin of Joël Robuchon . In 2000 he received a second Michelin star in the Plaza Athénée in Paris . In 2008 he became head chef at the restaurant Le Cinq, which is currently awarded two Michelin stars . In October 2014, he lost this position, probably because he did not succeed in cooking himself and the company a third Michelin star. Briffard does not currently have a restaurant.
