Brousseval is a French commune with 694 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Dizier and to the municipal association of Saint-Dizier, Der et Blaise, founded in 2016, and to the canton of Wassy . The residents call themselves Broussevaliens .

geography

Brousseval is located in the sparsely populated southern Champagne , around 17 kilometers south of Saint-Dizier on the Blaise River . Brousseval is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Wassy in the north and west, Magneux in the northeast, Valleret in the east and southeast and Vaux-sur-Blaise and Montreuil-sur-Blaise in the south.
