The inhabitants are called Camoléusiens .

Chamouilley is located about nine kilometers east-southeast of the city center of Saint-Dizier on the Marne . Chamouilley is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ancerville in the north and northwest, Cousances-les-Forges in the east, Narcy in the southeast, Eurville-Bienville in the south and Roches-sur-Marne in the west.
