Doulevant-le-Petit is a small French commune with 26 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Dizier and to the municipal association of Saint-Dizier, Der et Blaise, founded in 2016 .

The municipality of Doulevant-le-Petit is located about 19 kilometers south of the arrondissement capital of Saint-Dizier . The municipality of Doulevant-le-Petit, only 3.03 km² in size, includes a section of the Blaise , which is divided into two branches here. The municipal area extends to the east about 700 m on an agriculturally used plateau, to the west of the Blaise the municipal area extends about 1.5 kilometers over the forest Bois le Prieur , which is part of the 60 km² forest area Forêt du Der . Here, as in the far east of the municipality, the highest points are reached in slightly reliefed terrain, each 206 m above sea level.

Economy and Infrastructure
Doulevant-le-Petit has a rural character. Many residents farm for their own use. There is also a forestry company in the community.
The D2 trunk road following the Blaise Valley runs through the municipality of Doulevant-le-Petit from Saint-Dizier via Wassy to Dommartin-le-Franc . In the city of Saint-Dizier, 19 kilometers north of Domblain, there is a connection to the motorway-like RN 4 from Paris to Nancy . The train station in Joinville, 13 kilometers to the east, is on the Blesme-Haussignémont-Chaumont railway line .
