Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton Joinville included the 15 municipalities of Autigny-le-Grand , Autigny-le-Petit , Blécourt , Chatonrupt-Sommermont , Curel , Ferrière-et-Lafolie , Fronville , Guindrecourt-aux-Ormes , Joinville , Mathons , Nomécourt , Rupt , Suzannecourt , Thonnance-lès-Joinville and Vecqueville . Its layout corresponded to an area of 136.53 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 5213.
