The canton of Saint-Dizier-2 is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Saint-Dizier in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region . Its main town is Saint-Dizier .

The canton was created on March 22, 2015 as part of the reorganization of the cantons.

Communities

The new canton has 10,392 inhabitants in one municipality (2017). In 2013, 11,659 of the 25,626 inhabitants of the city of Saint-Dizier lived in the canton of Saint-Dizier-2.

politics

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the three pairs of candidates achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, the team Jean-Michel Feuillet / Élisabeth Robert-Dehault (both UMP) won against Magali Dubois / Jean-Claude Magnier (both FN ) with 63.15% of the vote (turnout: 44.73 %).
