The canton of Chaumont-2 is a French constituency in the Arrondissement of Chaumont , in the Haute-Marne department and in the Grand Est region ; its main town is Chaumont .
history
The canton was created on March 22, 2015 as part of the reorganization of the cantons. Until 2015, its communes belonged to the cantons of Chaumont-Nord (2 of the 8 communes), Chaumont-Sud (2 of the 7 communes) and central quarters of the city of Chaumont.

In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, the team Celine Brasseur / Paul Fournié (both UMP) won against Catherine Pouget / Michel Sulter (both PS ) with a share of the vote of 62.48% (turnout: 44.68%).
