District Court Homburg

The district court of Homburg existed from 1804 to 1806 and from 1814 to 1879 as a Bavarian district court of the older order with its seat in Marktheidenfeld in what is now the Main-Spessart district . From 1806 to 1814 the regional court of the older order belonged to the Grand Duchy of Würzburg. In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

With the administrative reorganization of Bavaria , the district court of Homburg was established with its seat in Marktheidenfeld in the Electorate of Bavaria. From 1806 to 1814 it was a regional court in the Grand Duchy of Würzburg . It existed until the transition to the Grand Duchy of Würzburg, where it was called the Landgericht Homburg am Main until the transition to the Kingdom of Bavaria. In the Kingdom of Bavaria, the Homburg district court came back to the Lower Main District under its old name .

In 1840 the Homburg district court was renamed Marktheidenfeld district court after its seat .
