District Court Münnerstadt

The Münnerstadt Regional Court was an older Bavarian regional court that existed from 1803 to 1879 and was based in Münnerstadt in what is now the Bad Kissingen district . In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

After the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss the Bishopric of Würzburg canceled and Pfalz-Bayern were given that were Wurzburg offices canceled and on 8 November 1803, the District Court Münnerstadt instead formed. It originated from the following locations from the following offices:

With the entry into force of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the Münnerstadt District Court was formed, the district of which was identical to the previous district of Münnerstadt and consisted of the communities of Althausen , Brno , Burghausen , Burglauer , Fridritt , Großwenkheim , Haard , Kleinwenkheim , Maßbach , Münnerstadt, Nickersfelden , Nüdlingen , Poppenlauer , Rannungen , Reichenbach , Roth an der Saale , Rothhausen , Rottershausen , Seubrigshausen , Steinach an der Saale , Strahlungen , Theinfeld , Thundorf in Lower Franconia , Volkershausen , Weuchten , Wermerichshausen and Windheim .

The Münnerstadt regional court was located at Landgerichtsgasse 2. The old regional court building from the 17th and 18th centuries. Century is a protected monument and was originally a four-wing complex , today a three-wing complex . The main building or north wing is a three-storey plastered mansard hipped roof, in the core from 1683, remodeling by Balthasar Neumann 1744–1748. The east wing is a two-storey saddle roof building with a half-timbered upper storey, probably 16./17. Century. The south wing is a saddle roof building made of quarry stone from 1696.
