Wermerichshausen is a district of Münnerstadt in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , Bavaria .
Geographical location
Wermerichshausen is east of Münnerstadt.
The St 2282 runs north of Wermerichshausen in an east-west direction and the A 71 to the west of the town in a north-south direction .
The KG 2 , which runs through the village, joins the St 2282 in a northward direction and leads south to Weichten , a district of Maßbach .
history
The village was first mentioned in 1057 as Wernburgohusun . The place name could be derived from a woman from the founding family named Werinburg . In 1354 the place was sold to the Hochstift Würzburg . A pastor was mentioned as early as 1261. In the 17th century the St. Vitus Church was built in the village .
On January 1st, 1972 Wermerichshausen was incorporated into Münnerstadt.
