Electoral College
As the electoral college or electoral college is called an assembly whose members, the choice of people , meet a public official for the purpose of the election. Examples of such bodies:
- United States : Electoral College will be elected in the presidential election. In turn, it elects the President of the United States .
- France : collège électoral (plural: collèges électoraux) are regional assemblies that elect the French Senate .
- Germany : The Federal Assembly elects the Federal President . Half of it consists of the members of the Bundestag and the other half of members appointed by the representative bodies of the federal states .
- Vatican : The conclave is the assembly of the cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church that elects the Pope and Bishop of Rome .
- India : Electoral College elects the President.
