Bolzende girls on a football field

A soccer field (in football jargon bolts : come hard shoot /; coarse / systemlos football games ) is in Germany usually on the particular city or community -scale football field which is available for public use children and adolescents are available. A slang term for those who play there is Bolzer .

description

There are no standards for field or goal size for football pitches. Football fields are therefore usually much smaller than standardized football fields or other sports fields . Since there are no set rules, it is possible to shoot ( bolt ) at the opponent's goal from almost any position on the pitch , which is what gave the pitch its name.

Granules , sand , turf , artificial turf , asphalt , tartan or stone are used as flooring .

Football fields are often fenced in so that balls do not fly into the environment (e.g. in adjacent gardens) or endanger road traffic. The fence usually consists of screwed metal grids. A net is rarely stretched over the fence so that the ball cannot be shot over the fence.

Some football fields are even illuminated so that you can play in the evening and in the dark. Under certain circumstances, a football field can fall under the sports facility noise protection ordinance.

Style of play

Played or bolted on a football field according to individually agreed rules (see recreational football variants , similar to the basketball variants of streetball ). More than seven players per team are rare due to the size of the pitch. The pre-game rules are often modified football rules - for example, the offside rule is not usually applied.

Well-known games on football fields are u. a. Penalty King (Penalty King) and high ball. In the case of the penalty king, one life is deducted from the player standing in the goal for each penalty converted . If the goalkeeper stops or the shooter shoots next to the goal, he must then enter the goal. A special feature is the picket shot. As a rule, the sentence “Latte saves” applies here and the shooter can repeat the penalty. The winner is the one who still has life at the end of the game.

The high ball is about the fact that goals can only be scored from the air, i.e. after a pass from another player. In the five-meter area or in a similar, previously marked area in front of the goal, goals may only be scored with the head and special goals. The goalkeeper is only allowed to be in his area in front of the goal, his limit is the five-meter area. This ensures that the field players are not hindered when playing. Special goals include heel, thigh, shoulder, etc. If a player's ball lands in the goal, it must then go into the goal. The shooter also has to go into the housing when the goalkeeper heads his shot over the crossbar, the so-called overhead. A decision is made before a game whether the rule should apply. The goalkeeper loses one life for each goal caught.

The so-called throwing of a player is also popular on football fields during high ball. If the goalkeeper throws at a field player and the ball rolls out of the way from this player, the goalkeeper can come out of the goal. The choice of the goalkeeper at the beginning of the game is decided by throwing the crossbar. Whoever fails to hit the crossbar - it can be agreed to throw or shoot - has to go into the goal. If someone volunteers to go into the gate, they usually get an extra life. Field players then start with 10 lives, the goalkeeper with 11 or 12 lives. If a player has 0 lives first, he has the right to the so-called "rubber". It's an extra life and should help him get another chance. If he doesn't succeed and he concedes a goal, the game is over for him. The last two remaining players shoot the winner on penalties. Often the rule applies that you have to shoot with the weaker foot in your last life.

Further rules, which are not applied on every football field, are the so-called “beeline” and the rescue of the ball of another player who is moving in the direction of the end, the so-called “rescue is mandatory”. As the crow flies, it means that the ball is only out of bounds when it touches the ground there. A ball can therefore be saved even though it is behind the goal if it is still in the air. Saving is an obligation means that the field players must support each other and try to save balls that are going out. If a player does not comply with this obligation, he will be sent into the goal with the slogan “Rescue is a duty”.

Tournaments

Football field tournaments are held worldwide at regular intervals. These have the advantage, among other things, that the participants do not have to belong to a specific association. Depending on the organizer, participation may be restricted by a set age limit. In order to take part in such a tournament, a participation fee specified by the organizer must usually be paid.

Well-known tournaments in Germany are: Autumn and Winter Cup ( Osnabrück ), Budenzauber der Frauenberger Party ( Euskirchen ), Löwen-Wölfebandy-Cup, Fireball-Cup (Nidderau-Heldenberg), Peacemaker-Cup ( Dortmund ), Zechen-Cup ( Recklinghausen ). International tournaments are u. a. held in Barcelona (Spain), Riccione (Italy) and Ommen (Netherlands).

Others

Due to the development of noise, football pitches in residential areas are only allowed at certain times in most municipalities to protect residents. B. on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The state of North Rhine-Westphalia added football pitch culture to its state inventory of intangible cultural heritage in April 2018 . The soccer field culture is recognized as "a youth culture form of social self-organization that originated in the urban milieus of the 1920s (sic) years".

The mascot of the soccer club VfL Bochum is called Bobbi Bolzer .

In Hanover, instead of bolt and football field, the terms booken and booker are common.
