Seubrigshausen is a district of Münnerstadt in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , Bavaria .

Geographical location

Seubrigshausen is located east of the core town of Münnerstadt.

The KG 11 district road, which runs through Seubrigshausen, leads north to Großwenkheim and turns south into SW 56 . To the northwest, the place is connected with Wermerichshausen .

history

The place is mentioned for the first time in 1126. The place name is explained with At the houses of Sigiburg . The village has certainly existed before, because the place-name ending "... hausen" indicates that it was founded in the 8th or 9th century.

In the local dialect, Seubrigshausen is called "Serwichhausen" .

The place is ruled by the prince-bishop from Würzburg until 1803 . A small church is said to have existed as early as 1500 . It is expanded in 1713. In 1830, however, a new, larger church is built, the Peterskirche. It is already being expanded 61 years after it was built. The parish church in Seubrigshausen was expanded to its present size in 1870.

On January 1, 1972 Seubrigshausen was incorporated into Münnerstadt.
