The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Anna is the village church of Seubrigshausen , a district of Münnerstadt in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen . The church is one of the architectural monuments of Münnerstadt and is registered under the number D-6-72-135-204 in the Bavarian list of monuments.

history

It is not certain which parish Seubrigshausen originally belonged to. Since 1452 it was probably a branch of Wermerichshausen . In 1799 Seubrigshausen became a curate and later a parish. The church was built in 1830. It replaced a previous building that already existed in 1500 and has been rebuilt several times. In 1870 the church was expanded to its present size.

Description and equipment

The nave has five window axes , the eastern choir has one window axis. The tower stands as a choir tower in the east. The sacristy is on the south side .

The interior is baroque from around 1700. There is a painting of the crucifixion on the high altar. To the left and right of the high altar are figures of St. Anne with St. Mary, to the right of it St. Mary with the child Jesus. The painting on the left side altar shows St. Mary with her parents, St. Anna and St. Joachim. On the right side altar, St. Joseph is depicted with the child Jesus and lilies. Close to the left side altar is the baptismal font with the year 1800. The pulpit on the south wall shows figures of the four evangelists . Opposite you can see a representation of the Holy Family with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. Seen from the pulpit, further back on the wall are figures of St. Sebastian and St. Wendelin. On the opposite side you can see an unnamed figure in a monk's robe (possibly Saint Anthony of Padua?) And brother Conrad . The church also has a tragic Madonna. The organ on the western gallery is designated as a work by Franz Hochrein from Münnerstadt, revised by the Hoffmann company from Ostheim vor der Rhön (notice on the console). The organ has 13 registers.

The church has a four-part chime that sounds with es', g ', b' and c '' in the Gloria motif.
