Kleinwenkheim is a district of Münnerstadt in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , Bavaria . The place is east of the core town on the Wannig . State road 2282 runs through the village .
Geographical location
The parish village of Kleinwenkheim is located east of Münnerstadt.
The St 2282 running through Kleinwenkheim leads via Brno and Althausen , crossing the A 71 , to Münnerstadt and eastwards to Großwenkheim . The KG 11 running through the village merges northwards into the NES 15 and leads south to Wermerichshausen .
history
In a document from the year 788, the place was as Wenkheim first mentioned as the Matt Onen the monastery of Fulda parts over appropriated their heritage. It was not until the 13th century that a distinction was made between Groß- (Maiori Weinghem) and Kleinwenkheim (Weynckheim minor). In 1219 Kleinwenkheim was donated to Maria Bildhausen Monastery and it remained a monastery village until the secularization in 1803.
The dilapidated church was rebuilt from 1588 to 1589. The St. Nicholas Church was consecrated in 1615. The parish was founded in 1871.
On January 1, 1972, Kleinwenkheim was incorporated into Münnerstadt.
