District Court Ebern

The district court Ebern was a Bavarian district court of the older order that existed from 1804 to 1879 and was based in Ebern in today's Haßberge district . In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

In 1804, in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, the district court Ebern was established. From 1806 to 1814 it was a regional court in the Grand Duchy of Würzburg . This came in 1817 to the newly founded Untermainkreis , the forerunner of the later administrative district of Lower Franconia .

The District Court of Ebern was formed from areas that were part of the Bamberg Monastery or the Würzburg Monastery before the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss . These were:

In 1862 was made the Regional Courts boars and Baunach the district office boars formed which took over the administrative duties of the District Court. With the entry into force of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was set up in Ebern , the district of which was composed of the municipalities of the previous district court district.
