Triebsdorf is a district of the Upper Franconian municipality of Ahorn in the Coburg district .
geography
Triebsdorf is about four kilometers south of Coburg west of the Itz . Communal roads lead to Finkenau , Haarth and Creidlitz .
history
The first documented mention was in 1297, when the Lords of Hessberg donated the "Trübesdorf" settlement to the Langheim monastery . The place name is probably derived from the Middle High German word "trip" for cattle pasture. Until the beginning of the 19th century, the place was administered by the Tambach monastery office. The Principality of Saxony-Coburg and the Würzburg Monastery disputed over the sovereign rights . In a state treaty from 1811 negotiated between Bavaria's Prime Minister Maximilian von Montgelas and Prince Leopold von Sachsen-Coburg-Saalfeld , Triebsdorf was finally awarded to Coburg.
During the Thirty Years' War Triebsdorf was destroyed by imperial troops in 1634.
On July 1, 1869, Triebsdorf was incorporated into Ahorn.
In 1925 Triebsdorf had 69 residents and 9 residential buildings. In 1987 the village had 192 inhabitants, 52 houses and 75 apartments. Triebsdorf belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Ahorn.
