The regional court of Schweinfurt (older order) was a Bavarian regional court of the older order that existed from 1804 to 1879 and was based in Schweinfurt in Lower Franconia . In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

history

By Reichsdeputationshauptschluss came imperial city of Schweinfurt in 1802 to Bavaria , three years before the Kingdom of Bavaria was founded. With the transition to Bavaria in the course of the administrative reorganization of Bavaria , a regional court of the older order was established in Schweinfurt . From 1806 to 1814 it was a regional court in the Grand Duchy of Würzburg . This came in 1817 to the newly founded Untermainkreis , the forerunner of the later administrative district of Lower Franconia . On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the Schweinfurt District Court was set up, the district of which was formed from the previous regional court district. At the same time, a regional court in the current sense was formed with the Schweinfurt regional court .
