history

In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 . From the 14th century on, the place Röttingen was the seat of a bailiff of the Hochstift Würzburg . With the transfer to Bavaria on November 14, 1804, the Röttingen district court was founded with its seat in Aub . At first the administrative structures of the dissolved Hochstift Würzburg were adapted. Therefore, the regional court was initially around the district of the former Hochstiftischen Amt Röttingen with the places Aufstetten, Baldersheim, Bieberehren, Bolzhausen, Buch, Burgerroth, Gaukönigshofen, Klingen, Riedenheim, Röttingen, Sächsenheim, Sonderhofen, Stalldorf, Strüth and Tauberrettersheim formed. The places Aub and Oellingen were assigned to the district of the district court from the former Hochstiftisches Amt Aub and the places Bütthard, Euerhausen, Gaubüttelbrunn, Gützingen, Höttingen, Oesfeld and Tiefenthal from the former Hochstiftisches Amt Bütthard . In addition there were the villages of Gaurettersheim, Rittershausen and Wolkshausen. From 1806 to 1814 it was a regional court in the Grand Duchy of Würzburg . In 1840 the district court of Röttingen was renamed after its official seat in Aub. In 1879, the Aub District Court was formed within the boundaries of the Aub Regional Court district.
