from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The district court of Ochsenfurt was a Bavarian district court of the older order that existed from 1804 to 1879 and was based in Ochsenfurt in today's district of Würzburg . In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

history

In 1804, in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, the district court of Ochsenfurt was established. From 1806 to 1814 it was a regional court in the Grand Duchy of Würzburg . This came in 1817 to the newly founded Untermainkreis , the forerunner of the later administrative district of Lower Franconia .

The district court was initially formed around the district of the former Würzburg office of Ochsenfurt and the Eibelstadt, Randersacker and Theilheim winery of the Würzburg cathedral chapter with the places Eibelstadt , Frickenhausen , Kleinochsenfurt , Ochsenfurt and Sulzdorf . The places Eßfeld and Goßmannsdorf , as well as the former cathedral provincial place Zeubelried , were also assigned to the district from the former Hochstiftisch-Würzburg office of Heidingsfeld . Furthermore, the village of Hopferstadt , which was formerly under the manorial control of the Würzburg monastery Neumünster, and the villages Acholshausen and Eichelsee , which were formerly under the manorial authority of the Würzburg monastery Haug , as well as the Kartause Tückelhausen with Hopferstadt and Tückelhausen were integrated into the court district. In addition there were the communities of Giebelstadt , Frickenhausen, Ingolstadt and Segnitz . The structure of the regional court remained in place both with the formation of the Grand Duchy of Würzburg and with the renewed change under Bavarian sovereignty.

After the aristocratic jurisdiction was abolished by the law of June 4, 1848, the towns of Sommerhausen , Winterhausen , Lindelbach and Erlach , which had previously belonged to the Graflich Rechter's ruling court, were integrated into the regional court territory . The localities of Giebelstadt (formerly the patrimonial court of the Barons von Zobel ) and Geroldshausen (the patrimonial court of Albertshausen of the Barons von Wolfskeel ) were also incorporated into the court territory through the abolition of the aristocratic judiciary .

On August 25, 1853, with effect from October 1, 1852, the community of Gnodstadt transferred from the Middle Franconian district court of Uffenheim to the Lower Franconian district court of Ochsenfurt. When the German Courts Constitution Act came into force on October 1, 1879, the regional court was renamed the District Court of Ochsenfurt .
