District Court Ochsenfurt

The district court of Ochsenfurt was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1974 and was based in the city of Ochsenfurt . Today it is a branch of the Würzburg District Court .

history

The area of responsibility of the District Court Ochsenfurt, stretching from Main to the Tauber was, since the establishment of the diocese Würzburg territory for the Bishopric of Würzburg and came to the secularisation of Bavaria. In 1804, in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, the district court of Ochsenfurt was established. With the entry into force of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the regional court was renamed the district court , whereby its district coincided with the district and later district of Ochsenfurt . The higher authority was the Würzburg Regional Court . With effect from July 1, 1932, the Marktbreit District Court was repealed and largely assigned to the Ochsenfurt District Court. The formerly independent district court of Ochsenfurt at Ochsenfurter Kellereistraße 8 has been a branch of the district court of Würzburg since 1974 .
