Alice Wetterlund
Alice Wetterlund (born May 16, 1981 in Minnesota ) is an American stand-up comedian , actress and podcast host. She played the role of Carla Walton on the HBO sitcom Silicon Valley .
Life
Alice Wetterlund was born in the US state of Minnesota and went to New York in 1999 , where she attended Cooper Union College . She began stand-up comedy in the late 2000s and began performing with the improvisational group Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in 2008 . This led to an audition for the MTV television series Girl Code , where she starred in a parody for the TV commercial "Culture Culture Probiotics" - a "cure" for diarrhea. Since then she has appeared in many television commercials for companies such as BMW , Lenscrafters, Scotch Brite and Southwest Airlines . Wetterlund appeared on Cave Comedy Radio as a teacher of meditation and cat whispering .
Wetterlund and Veronica Osorio are moderating the Star Trek: The Next Generation podcast Treks and the City . With Kevin Porter, she moderates the Maisel Goys podcast on the Amazon Prime television series fM .
She was married and divorced which she talks about in Maisel Goys episode 103.
