The canton of Chalindrey is a French constituency in the Arrondissement of Langres in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region . The main town of the canton is Chalindrey .
history
The canton was created on March 22, 2015 as part of the reorganization of the cantons. Until 2015, its communes belonged to the cantons of Fayl-Billot (all 18 communes), Laferté-sur-Amance (9 of the 11 communes), Longeau-Percey (8 of the 24 communes), Varennes-sur-Amance (6 of the 13 communes) , Langres (Culmont and Saint-Vallier-sur-Marne), Neuilly-l'Évêque (Celsoy) and Prauthoy (Grandchamp).

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the three pairs of candidates achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, the pairing Bernard Gendrot / Véronique Michel (both DVD) won against Jean-François Gueniot / Marie Perrin (both PS ) and Fabienne Millot / Gérard Terrillon (both FN ) with a share of the vote of 42.62% (Turnout: 60.79%).
