Haute-Amance is a French commune with 956 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Langres and the canton of Chalindrey (until 2015: canton of Varennes-sur-Amance ). The inhabitants are called Hortois .

Haute-Amance is about 42 kilometers southeast of Chaumont am Amance . Haute-Amance is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Celsoy in the north and north-west, Lesnoy and Marcilly-en-Bassigny in the north, Arbigny-sous-Varennes in the east and north-east, Maizières-sur-Amance in the east, Rougeux in the south and south-east, Chaudenay in the South and Southwest, Torcenay in the Southwest, Culmont in the West and Southwest, Chatenay-Vaudin in the West and Lecey in the Northwest.
