history

Today's district of Vaux-la-Douce, on the other hand, was part of the Bailliage de Langres within the royal province of Champagne . The mechanization of agriculture led to heavy emigration in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The parish belonged to the Bourbonne district from 1793 to 1801. In addition, from 1793 to 1801 to the canton of Voisey and from 1801 to 2015 to the canton of La Ferté-sur-Amance (today: Laferté-sur-Amance ).
