Isômes is a French commune with 150 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Langres and to the municipal association Auberive Vingeanne et Montsaugeonnais, founded in 2010 . The inhabitants are called isômois .
geography
The municipality of Isômes is located on the south-eastern edge of the Langres plateau , about halfway between the cities of Langres and Dijon . In Isômes the Coulanges flows into the Badin , shortly before it flows into the Vingeanne . The Marne-Saône Canal runs immediately to the east of the municipality of Isômes . The 10.63 km² flat to slightly undulating municipal area is characterized by arable land; the only notable forest area is the Bois Rond in the southwest. In the extreme southern tip of the municipality, the highest point is reached at 321 meters above sea level. The municipality includes the hamlets of La Chassagne, La Lanne and La Vêvre . Isômes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Montsaugeonnais in the west and north, Choilley-Dardenay in the northeast, Cusey in the east and Occey in the south.

Economy and Infrastructure
Six farms are located in Isômes (cereal growing and cattle breeding).
The D974 trunk road runs from Langres to Dijon to the west of Isômes . There is a connection to the A 31 autoroute 13 kilometers southwest of Isômes . The stop immediately northwest of Isômes is on the railway line from Is-sur-Tille to Chalindrey ( Ligne d'Is-sur-Tille à Culmont-Chalindrey ).
