Rolampont is a French commune in the department of Haute-Marne of the region Grand Est . The municipality has 1,478 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) on 49.1 km². The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Langres and the canton of Nogent . In addition to the core town, the municipality also includes the villages of Charmoilles , Lannes and Tronchoy .
Geography and traffic
Rolampont is located on the northern edge of the plateau of Langres an der Marne , about 10.5 kilometers north-northwest of Langres and about 21 kilometers south-southeast of Chaumont . The municipality has a connection to the A31 autoroute (junction 7 "Langres-Nord"). In addition, the former national road N19 Paris-Belfort runs through the town; Since 2006, the relevant section between Chaumont and Langres has been rededicated to a department road with the number 619. The Paris – Mulhouse railway also runs through the municipality, but the station is closed. A lock of the Canal entre Champagne et Bourgogne is in place.
