Neuilly-l'Évêque is a French commune in the Haute-Marne department of the Grand Est region (before 2016: Champagne-Ardenne ). 591 people live in the municipality (as of January 1, 2017). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Langres and is part of the canton of Nogent (until 2015: canton of Neuilly-l'Évêque ). The inhabitants are called Neuilléens .

Geography and traffic

Neuilly-l'Évêque is located on the northern edge of the Langres plateau , about 32 kilometers south-east of Chaumont . Neuilly-l'Évêque is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Dampierre in the north and northwest, Frécourt in the north, Bonnecourt in the northeast, Poiseul in the east, Orbigny-au-Mont in the south and southeast, Orbigny-au-Val in the south, and Bannes in the west Southwest as well as Changey in the west.
