Coiffy-le-Bas is a French commune with 92 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Langres and the canton of Chalindrey (until 2015: canton of Varennes-sur-Amance ). The inhabitants are called Coifféens .
geography
Coiffy-le-Bas is located about 45 kilometers east-southeast of Chaumont on the small Amance , which borders the municipality in the west. Coiffy-le-Bas is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Laneuvelle in the north, Bourbonne-les-Bains in the northeast, Coiffy-le-Haut in the south and east, Chézeaux in the south, Varennes-sur-Amance in the west and south-west and Vicq in the north-west.
