Le Pailly is a French commune with 284 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ); it belongs to the Arrondissement of Langres and the canton of Chalindrey ( Longeau-Percey until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Paillois .

Le Pailly is about 45 kilometers southeast of Chaumont . Le Pailly is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Chalindrey in the north and east, Violot in the southeast, Palaiseul in the south, Heuilley-le-Grand in the southwest, Noidant-Chatenoy in the west and Balesmes-sur-Marne in the northwest.
