Balesmes-sur-Marne is a former municipality and today's Commune déléguée with 239 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the French department of Haute-Marne in the Grand Est region . The municipality was incorporated into Saints-Geosmes with effect from January 1, 2016 , so that the Commune nouvelle Saints-Geosmes was created.

Balesmes-sur-Marne is on the Langres plateau ; there the Marne rises . Neighboring towns of Balesmes-sur-Marne are Saint-Vallier-sur-Marne in the north, Chalindrey in the east, Noidant-Chatenoy in the south, Cohons in the southwest and the Commune déléguée Saints-Geosmes in the west.
