The Chalindrey Town Council

Chalindrey is a French commune in the department of Haute-Marne in the region Grand Est . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Langres and is the administrative seat of the Canton of Chalindrey (until 2015: Canton Longeau-Percey ). The municipality has 2,407 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) on an area of ​​20.03 km².

Chalindrey is located about 9.5 kilometers southeast of Langres on the Langres plateau on the Salon River . Chalindrey is a railway junction. In particular, the Paris – Mulhouse line runs through the municipality. The municipality therefore also uses the rails in the coat of arms.
