The inhabitants are called Maizièrois .

Maizières-sur-Amance is around 55 kilometers southeast of the city of Chaumont . The Amance limits the community in the southwest. Maizières-sur-Amance is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Arbigny-sous-Varennes in the north, Bize in the east, Anrosey in the east and southeast, Fayl-Billot in the south, Rougeux in the southwest and Haute-Amance in the west.
