Frécourt is located around 30 kilometers southeast of the city of Chaumont in the south of the Haute-Marne department.

history

Around 1140 a priest Coluns is mentioned in Frécourt. In the Hundred Years War the community is completely destroyed. The mechanization of agriculture led to heavy emigration in the late 19th and 20th centuries. Frécourt historically belongs to the Bailliage de Langres region within the Champagne province . The place belonged from 1793 to 1801 to the District Langres. Also from 1793 to 2015 to the canton of Neuilly-l'Évêque . Between 1972 and 1983 the municipality was a district of Neuilly-l'Évêque .
