Chézeaux is a French commune with 72 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ); it belongs to the Arrondissement of Langres and the canton of Chalindrey (until 2015 Varennes-sur-Amance ).

Chézeaux is located about 44 kilometers southeast of Chaumont on the Petite Amance River . Chézeaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Coiffy-le-Bas and Coiffy-le-Haut in the north, Montcharvot in the northeast, Voisey in the east, Soyers in the east and southeast, Anrosey in the south, Champigny-sous-Varennes in the south and west and Varennes sur-Amance in the north-west.

history

From 1972 Chézeaux was part of the municipality of Terre-Natale with the villages of Champigny-sous-Varennes and Varennes-sur-Amance . In 2012 this merger was canceled.
