Chaudenay is a French commune with 345 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Marne department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Langres and the canton of Chalindrey (until 2015 Fayl-Billot ). The inhabitants are called Caldenacuciens .

Chaudenay is about 40 kilometers southeast of Chaumont . Chaudenay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Haute-Amance in the north and east, Rougeux in the southeast, Champsevraine in the south and Torcenay in the west.
