The Moureaux Point (also known as Cape Moureaux , Pointe Moureaux and Punta Moureaux ) is a cape in Antarctica Palmer Archipelago . It forms the northern foothills of Liège Island .
The landmark was mapped during the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903–1905). Its head, the French polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot , named the cape after Claude-Théodule-Hirman Moureaux (1842-1919), director of the observatory in Parc Saint-Maur near Paris.
