Saint-Vrain is a place and a municipality in northern France with 233 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Marne department in the Grand Est region .

The town of Saint-Vrain is located on the Orconté river in the historic Perthois landscape a good 96 km southeast of Reims and approx. 20 km southeast of Vitry-le-François at an altitude of approx. 135  m . The climate is temperate; Rain (approx. 650 mm / year) usually falls over the whole year.

Theobald IV took in 1223 Saint-Vrain and nearby Cistercian - Trois-Fontaines Abbey under his protection.
