The municipality of Écollemont is located on the Blaise River , about 18 kilometers west of Saint-Dizier . In the south, the municipality has a small part of the Lac du Der-Chantecoq , the largest reservoir in France. Neighboring municipalities are: Hauteville , Sainte-Marie-du-Lac-Nuisement , Arrigny and Larzicourt .
