Oliver Obolgogiani (born July 27, 1990 in Espoo ) is a Georgian - Finnish ice hockey player who has been playing at the HJK Helsinki in the fifth-class Finnish III-divisioona since 2017 .

Career

Oliver Obolgoggiani, who was born to parents of Georgian origin in Espoo , Finland , began his career in the youth department of Kiekko-Vantaa , where he played in all junior teams. At the age of twenty he first interrupted his career. In 2016 he joined the Gray Wolves Tbilisi from the Georgian ice hockey league in Georgia . In 2018 he returned to his native country and plays there for the HJK Helsinki in the fifth class III-divisioona.

International

Obolgogiani made his debut for the Georgian national team at the Division III World Cup in 2018 . In addition to the best plus / minus balance, he scored eight goals and six assists in five games and was thus both the second-best goalscorer and second-best scorer of the tournament, behind his compatriot Aleksandre Shuschunashvili and was also voted the best player on his team. He made a significant contribution to the Georgians' first promotion to Division II.
