history

In 1968 the municipality of Chantecoq was incorporated into Giffaumont. Three years later, the municipalities of Giffaumont and Champaubert-aux-Bois merged.

Chantecoq and Champaubert were abandoned for the construction of Lac du Der-Chantecoq , which was inaugurated in January 1974.
