Paul Arenkens

Paul Arenkens (born June 13, 1932 in Böckwitz ; † November 6, 2016 ) was a German actor and singer .

Life

After training to become a farmer, she studied singing and acting at the conservatory in Halle (Saale) . He made his acting debut at the Stadttheater in Brandenburg (Havel) . He worked at the Berlin Metropol Theater from 1961 until it was dissolved in 1997 . Parallel to his theater career, Arenkens was active in children's revues at Berlin's Friedrichstadtpalast . He was also known as an operetta singer .

In film and television productions, Paul Arenkens played very different characters. He was seen in comical roles like Maxe Baumann and Ferienheim Bergkristall , but also in literary films like Neuland unterm Pflug . In the 1970s he worked in television series such as Polizeiruf 110 and Das Invisbaren Visier . With his high-pitched voice, he was also active several times as a voice actor.

Arenkens came from the small community of Böckwitz, which was in the German-German border area from 1945 to 1990. With the reunification , the previously expropriated Arenkens became the owner of his farm again.
