Jürgen Degenhardt
Jürgen Degenhardt (born October 21, 1930 in Dresden as Hans-Jürgen Degenhardt ; † August 1, 2014 in Erfurt ) was a German songwriter , actor , director and author . He was considered a successful German musical writer.
biography
Degenhardt was born in Dresden in 1930; two years later his parents returned to Erfurt. In Erfurt he attended the high school "Zur Himmelspforte" from 1941 to 1949 , where he graduated from high school in 1949. From 1949 to 1951 he attended the drama school of the Deutsches Theater in Berlin , then until 1952 the State Drama School Berlin. From 1952 to 1957 he was an actor and assistant director at the Deutsches Theater and until 1962 director of the theater department of the GDR television . From 1955 he directed the popular children's program Meister Nadelöhr in Adlershof around 75 times . In 1962/63 he worked at DEFA , after which he was self-employed. Degenhardt was married to the opera and operetta singer Gisela Galander . He lived in Erfurt, wrote poems, hits, chansons and musical texts. He worked closely with Gerd Natschinski (1928–2015).
On August 1, 2014, he died of cancer in Erfurt.

- 1999: Prize of the GEMA Foundation (with Helmut Bez ), based on the proposal of the Dramatiker Union
