Marvin (* 1982 in Reutlingen ) is a German musician and music producer.

Life

After attending secondary school, he completed an apprenticeship as a banker in 1999 and founded the hip-hop project Marvin da Crewstoa . His idea was to combine simple beats with parodies , ironic and paradoxical texts. In 2007, Marvin received his first recording contract with the independent label Ruby Fruit Records . Here he published his debut album When my digital clock no longer ticks in 2008 , which he composed and produced himself. Only the Mix & Master was taken over by Ruby Fruit Records. In 2009 his album When my digital clock stops ticking ... was presented on the online music magazine Bonsound. On May 9, 2011 his second album Luxus Crank was released. The music is a mix of hip-hop , club, rhythm and blues and pop . There are two features on the CD with Kaas ("The Orsons"), a feature with Stubenhogga 2.0 and two bonus tracks. After a long break, Marvin is back in 2018 with the album "Kopfkaputt". This time completely self-produced and according to the motto "back to the roots". Simple hip hop beats in the style of the 90s / 2000s meet cynical sarcasm. The publication took place via youtube with a free download link. Marvin already announces a new album for 2019 in his channel Info.

music

Marvin's music falls into the genres of comedy rap and hip-hop. The lyrics are ambiguous, sarcastic and ironic. Marvin uses rap and singing to present his lyrics . He plays keyboard and guitar himself and was the songwriter, lead singer and guitarist of the psychedelic metal band hatstik, which was founded in 2007 . In March 2012 he decided to stop making electronic hip-hop music for the time being in order to invest more time in his "hatstik" project. In 2018 he will celebrate his comeback.
