The Dark Hour of the Serenissima is a German television film by Sigi Rothemund from 2008 , based on the novel of the same name by Donna Leon . It is the thirteenth episode of the ARD crime film series Donna Leon with Uwe Kockisch as Commissario Guido Brunetti in the lead role.

action

The student Claudia Leonardo turns to Commissario Brunetti because her grandfather was wrongly accused of extortion by robbery after the Second World War. A little later, she and her grandmother are murdered. During the investigation, the inspector comes across the librarian Maxwell Ford, who was considered in Leonardo's grandmother's will. He and his wife Eleonora are under urgent suspicion of murder.
