Uwe Kockisch
Uwe Kockisch (born January 31, 1944 in Cottbus ) is a German actor .
Life
Uwe Kockisch learned the trade of an opencast mining machine. As a teenager in 1961 he and friends tried to flee the GDR across the Baltic Sea using a cutter . However, the group was arrested beforehand; Kockisch was then imprisoned for more than six months.
Kockisch completed his training as an actor at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . He accepted engagements in Cottbus and Karl-Marx-Stadt . He played at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater for over 20 years and later for two years at the Schaubühne in Berlin .
From 1972 Uwe Kockisch worked for the film. In 1981 he played the leading role in Ulrich Weiß’s Unknown Brother . Kockisch appeared in the crime series Tatort , Polizeiruf 110 and The Public Prosecutor has the floor and was seen as a commissioner in the TV series Zappek .
Since 2003 he has played the inspector Guido Brunetti in the TV crime series Donna Leon .
From 2010 to 2018 he played one of the leading roles in the ARD television series Weissensee as Stasi officer Hans Kupfer.
Kockisch lives in Madrid with his wife Christine Gautier and has two sons.
