Night Shift - Bloody City is a German feature film by Lars Becker from 2009. It is the sixth part of the film series Nachtschicht .

action

In this sixth part, Brenner, Hu and Erichsen investigate in the drug environment; an anonymous caller announces murders of drug dealers.

The film begins with the funeral of his colleague Schrader, who was shot during an operation in the last film . During the funeral, Erichsen clashes with Neumann, who used to be Hu's superior. When the caller, who calls himself "Q", executes a travel agency owner that evening, implying that he is only the first victim of a drug ring, the KDD follows the trail in Neumann's territory. In the course of the investigation it turns out that Neumann and his colleague Butscher, who is murdered by "Q", together with the first murder victim, his employee and a man named Rudi Kaspar, enabled the sale of the new fashion drug "Q". The anonymous caller is on a personal revenge as his daughter has been in a coma since taking "Q".

As the investigators get closer and closer to the perpetrator, Kaspar and Neumann kill him after "Q" s attempt to murder the two of them fails. In order to cover up his own trail, Kaspar then also murders Neumann. In the final, there is a showdown at dawn (the end of the night shift) between the investigators, Kaspar and Neumann's wife, who wants to avenge her husband.

background

Lars Becker was again responsible for the script and direction.

criticism

“The sixth episode of the overall solidly conceived (television) crime series is convincing above all because it makes slight changes in tone and rhythm; not quite as much brash banter, a few fewer jokes and the stronger focus on the characters give the film a lot of depth. "

"Fast and rowdy - just night shift!"
